Marc Selwyn Fine Art is pleased to announce an exhibition of drawings and paintings by Los Angeles based artist Tom Knechtel. The opening reception will take place on Saturday, May 19 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
The exhibition will consist of seven drawings in pastel and seven drawings in pencil along with three major paintings in oil. Inspired by Kabuki theater, Indian miniature painting and Tibetan thangka painting, Knechtel presents exotic dream worlds inhabited by human and animal characters. The drawings in pastel depict images of horses in solitary moments while the pencil drawings explore diagrams of concentrated narratives with multiple points of view and characters.
